What you need to do is really easy.

Do you know something about something in some detail?

Sorry, let's make that a little clearer...

Is there a subject that interests you specifically that you can write about? For instance, William likes Koi. He also has an interest in dog training. He likes cars. He keeps aquarium fish. He works a lot on Internet Marketing. Tony likes to eat. Tony likes to work on the Internet putting together sites about water gardening. Tony has an interest in collecting small wooden pigs. Gareth, the programmer, likes to smoke. He enjoys cigars. Fine red wine. The occasional bottle or two of cognac. These are all topics in their own right worthy of their own website...

As you can see, we have a lot of interests. Could you describe your own and write about one or two of them in some detail? What could you tell someone else about your interests?

That's what we're after. We don't care how obscure, how esoteric, how mundane, how boring or exciting it may appear to us. We care about whether you're interested in it and have a passion for what you are interested in!

What you need to do:

1. Identify an interest of yours.

2. Generate 10 pages of content on this interest. Each page should be around 300 to 400 words.

3. You must generate this content yourself. There is no point in copying someone else's work. You can of course reference other people but the idea is for YOU to generate the content because it is your passion that will make the success!

4. If you have any pictures send them along as .jpg or .gif formats only.

5. Indemnify us of any copyright in this material. This works in your favour as you will come to see later on if you are concerned.

Subjects to write about - expanded...

Pick a topic about which you are most passionate and about which you can write for hours on end and about which after several bottles of red wine you can really bore people with - I have a few of these - bad music, Internet, hi-fi, politics and why I hate politicians etc etc. But I could ramble for hours, in fact I generally do and as people beat me in unconsciousness with the empty wine bottle or fire poker or whatever I normally have a flash of insight into something I really ought to write down but then there's never a pen or laptop at hand...

Then you need to generate 10 pages of content on this topic with a centrally related niche theme to each page. The Internet you see revolved around keywords: each keyword is a niche and each niche is a market.

See it this way. On the Internet an 'apple' is a market. A 'red apple' is a completely different market. A 'small red apple' is a completely different and unique market. A 'small red cooking apple' is a completely different and unique market. A page about small red cooking apples is unlikely to mention green apples unless to say that green apples might make your small red cooking apple pie taste - well not quite as it should. You certainly would be unlikely to find the word bananas on this page.

Clear as mud?

Small red cooking apples might be one page on a site about fruit. Which might have something about bananas on it, just not on the page about small red cooking apples! See?
